Amani Al-Khatahtbeh is founder and editor-in-chief of MuslimGirl.com, a leading voice for Muslim young women. Recently, Amani teamed up with Teen Vogue to bring “authentic, fearless, and unapologetic voices on what life is like as a Muslim girl in today’s society.” And what they have produced is pretty fantastic – five compelling clips featuring Muslim young women talk about what matters most to them and what non-Muslims may be curious about. Topics range from dating to wearing or not wearing the hijab to growing up Muslim in America to… Donald Trump (they had to go there:)).
As Amani gracefully puts it, “Muslim women have been the center of headlines in corporate news and mainstream media for the past decade — yet, it has rarely been Muslim women doing the talking.” Indeed!
