The ancient ruins of Palmyra in Syria are said to be one of the most important archaeological sites in the world and sadly, they are also under a new threat from ISIS. A group of locals have been hurrying to hide and bury museum pieces, and are standing guard by the ruins. A noted Syrian archeologist, Amr al-Azm, calls these local heroes “Monuments Men” after the George Clooney film.
