Americans eat more than 50 pounds of beef and almost 90 pounds of chicken per year but only average consuming half a pound of lamb. Sheep ranchers in Colorado, Nebraska and Illinois are looking to the American-Muslim community to fill the gap since they have an estimated $98 billion in spending power – that’s a lotta lamb chops!
